Home Sweet Home!
/We are very happy and relieved (and many more emotions) to say that we are home!!! After an eight week stay at Victoria Hosptial's finest and the Ronald MacDonald House we are absolutely elated to bring our baby girl, Hazel Loretta, home to meet her big sister Nico. Mommy, Daddy and Hazel are adjusting to the new routine (or lack of) very well. A few sleepless nights but we are managing to get some sleep now. Hazel is an amazing baby. Finally, we have a baby that eats, sleeps and poops (a lot). She is a good sleeper and has begun to figure out that if she cries a little her daddy and I will pick her up and snuggle her. She's learning the system already...smart!!
Hazel is very content to sit in her chair and listen to Adele with her sister Nico sitting close by making sure she is safe. The louder the better for her. She is beginning to be more alert and trying to figure out her voice. It's only a matter of time before she smiles and melts our hearts even more. She is still pretty feisty when are doing anything to her that she doesn't feel like doing at the time. She doesn't leave you guessing, she is pretty vocal about her needs.
We please ask that visits are announced and tentative. We are going to have to be careful with Hazel for a little while to make sure she keeps her strength. An illness right now would be a huge set back for her and she has worked very hard to get where she is, and so have we. It is important to keep her needs first so we thank all of you for your consideration. She can't wait to be cuddled and loved by all in time!!!
