Hashtag All the Apples

I love it!!!! It's my favourite!!! I really hope my kids don't ever think for one second that this isn't happening every. Single. Year. From now until the end of time. I mean, I'm the mom right? That MUST give me some kind of control, RIGHT??!!!!!

Just look at the pictures (AGAIN this year) and tell me you wouldn't try to squeeze blood from a stone to get it to happen again and again...

Every year is a totally different year from the year before, aside from the fact that you can always count on my kids to turn up the dial on volatility. As the kids get older the dynamic of the day grows along with them. The big kids take a nutruing role with the little kids, helping them to reach the perfect apple, holding their hands when the ground is uneven. There's always the struggle to make sure to get every single moment caught on camera. That never seems to change but I will say it's always worth it.

Then she hides behind everyone...

This next moment here nearly did. ME. IN!!! As soon as we started collecting apples, Nola's first order of business was to collect 2. One for her and, of course, one for Hazel. I have no words. I would love to say that we are raising a compassionate human being BUT let's be honest she's not even 2. Everything she does is because she wants to do it. This one simple apple exchange is basically a metaphor for their entire sister relationship. Nola's got Hazel's back. Sometimes Hazel wants that and sometimes she's just not that into her. I'm just glad that somehow, someway these 2 most perfect souls have found their way to each other. They definitely aren't perfect but they are perfect for each other.

Her expressions. This child has never been accused of not being able to express herself...

Hey Nola!!! We're apple picking - It's fun. Really!!!!!

There was never a more perfect pair.

I don't know what it is about this pic but it's my favourite. I think it's the extremely happy parents and the kids who really could care less about it. Also, any implication of 'trainwreckedness' in our photos just feels like home.

Despite the fact that Nola has RBF (Raging B#&CH Face) in this pic (and most other pics), I swear she did have some fun. P.S I still love wearing both my kids, I don't care how heavy they are #wearallthebabies

Love this little fam...

And with that, we are in the middle of fall and Thanksgiving prep. Hope you are all enjoying your pumpkin everything and your spiced scented everything else.

Happy Friday!
