Happy Friday!!!

It's been a while since I've done a Friday post. I hope this face makes it up to you. It's totally old news if you follow us on IG but still - cute nonetheless. 

In most recent news...

Both my little babies officially started preschool. I can't believe I have children old enough to be in preschool. Hazel has been going for about 6 months and Nola has just started this past week. They go together and stay in the same classroom which so far has been a great transition. Teacher reports have already been positive in terms of Hazel feeling more comfortable there. Nola's presence has made it easier for her to play with the other children and follow the daily routines better. I love that they are together at this young age.

And Nola!!! Well, as I am sure you may have imagined she could have cared less about my leaving her there. When I looked at her and said good bye she literally wouldn't give me the time of day. When she did seem to come to me to say goodbye, I got the feeling I was just in the way of what she really wanted to see or play with. She didn't get upset. Not one tear. Zero anxiety. She walked in and saw kids and toys - it was over. She was gone. The girl was ready. Ready to see new things, play new games, meet new friends and experience new routines. The teacher has said that she has befriended a little boy named Anthony, and she is quite the little helper and organizer. 

Of course I was sad to let her go. It's the beginning of their independence away from home when really we get so little time with them before it all starts. But the girl was ready. Yet again she made another milestone, going to preschool, that much easier for me. She's such a sweet confident, determined little gal. Love her so.

Hope you are all enjoying the last little glimpses of summer before the fall settles in and throws a warm blanket over our shoulders and welcomes us home. I am a little excited. Just a little.
